It was developed to ensure that textile products are free of harmful substances and therefore safe for human use.<\/p>\n<p>The standard sets limits for various chemical pollutants that may be contained in textiles. These include, for example, heavy metals, pesticides, formaldehyde and other potentially harmful substances. The intensity of skin contact with the product plays a significant role.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Product class 1:<\/strong> This product class includes products for babies and has the strictest requirements and limit values.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Product class 2:<\/strong> This product class includes products with skin contact. Skin-contact articles are those that can come into direct contact with the skin to a large extent, such as blouses, shirts, underwear, mattresses, etc.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Product class 3:<\/strong> This product class includes products without skin contact. Articles that have no or minimal contact with the skin, such as jackets and waistcoats, belts, etc., are described as being far from the skin.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Product class 4:<\/strong> This product class includes equipment materials.
